Route 1: Val d’Aran-Alta Ribagorça
The Val d’Aran valley was one of the main routes of entry for refugees through the customs office at the Eth Pònt de Rei bridge and the mountain paths from the French departments of Haute-Garonne and Ariège, which led to Es Bòrdes, Bossòst, Bausen, Les, Canejan and Montgarri. Later, they would move further south, crossing the Port de la Bonaigua pass or accessing Alta Ribagorça on foot.
